There’s a new business in a spot I am very familiar with; ‘The Patio’ is now called ‘Lava’ and it’s a hookah bar. 

I had a blast, man. This was my first time in a hookah bar. I think you’ll get a bit of the vibe from this clip. I’m glad to see that building vibrant and alive again.

Vintage ‘RAW MEAT’ shirt, yo.   These were the first guys to offer me and my crew (Coalition, waddup Cheeb! waddup 3D!) a chance to play onstage in Naptown. We were one of the first hip-hop acts to grace the stage at The Patio and we probably never woulda gotten a shot any other way, but for Buddy and the guys givin us a shot. So, a ‘raunch rock’ band (THAT ROCKED!) basically kicked down the door for hip-hop being accepted in Broad Ripple…and eventually the whole city caught on. I never forget who looked out for me and will be wearing this shirt on TV this week. Watch ‘The Rock Block with Rusty Redenbacher’ every weeknight at 11 on Indy’s Music Channel. RR
