Man, I’ve had a great day; my new album is out, my city is totally alive with excitement for The Big Game, and I’m spinning for the crowd down there on Gameday.
I’m just formulating a set that I think would be grooving for a WORLDWIDE audience that also represents ‘me’ pretty well.
Obviously, I’m into some wild stuff, but I wanna play some music that I feel would be cool blaring outta someone’s car while they’re tailgating…some stuff for everybody, just an idea. Familiar records presented in an unfamiliar way that grooves and leads to good vibes. Smile inducing thump.

I can’t remember if I actually expressed any detailed thoughts on the track when it dropped (I’m guessing I did - I’m a stan that way), but I’ve been bumping it pretty regularly. Initially, I was a little underwhelmed, but it’s grown on me quite a bit (pawse). Obviously, this counts as a decent street single (no where near ‘Made You Look’, somewhere around ‘Thief’s Theme’ - but much love from me for a hookless single of any sort in 2011) and he’ll probably need to come back with something a little more commercial to get some real attention, but I like the start.
This video can only help. Outside of the slightly weird Ciroc placement (the scene where he has the headphones on and all of a sudden there are two bottles rapping with him - the fuck?), the clip is pretty dope. Re-establishes NasGawd as a man of the people (walking thru the old hood giving his shit away until he’s down to one Jesus piece) and a nigga with bitches (y’all see that Faith Evans actress broad? Remember, before he was NasGawd, he was Nastradamus).
Aight. I’m done cooking. I’ll now return to my role as “slanderer-in-chief.”
