Hip-Hop really has no need for more strip-club anthems. All the great ones have been done. However, I love to challenge myself as well as people’s perceptions. So, here it is.
That said, I have ALWAYS loved this beat and, before the internet-age made everything soooo easy to find, this track was a treasured find. (The instrumental doesn’t appear on the 12-inch-vinyl, it’s only on the CD single, as far as I can tell…)
Anyways, I had to keep it real; my dudes always have stories about how they’ve balled out at the club. Just never been my steeze, so I had to do what is only natural for me and tell the story of a night at the club from the view of your typical indie-rapper. Swag on a hunnit kajillion, tryna save my cheese for my next project or whatever bill I would truly need it for.
