I normally don’t post other people’s music on here, but dammit, I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!
Lemme tell ya, man; The ‘Woo Hah! Got You All In Check!’ 12” single was perfect. Just perfect. Had a remix with ODB, and this on the B-Side. B-Side wins again, man. WOO!
This 12” made it so I could not WAIT to hear Busta’s first solo album. I remember how everyone was so geeked off him within the concept of Leaders Of The New School. Tribe’s ‘Scenario’ set the dude up for stardom, man, and he soooo came thru like a champ when ‘Woo-Hah!’ dropped. The cats who “didn’t fuck with that East Coast shit” had to buy the record. Your Mama knew the chorus and threw her hands up on the ‘WOO-HAH!’ part.
…and your man Rusty was making sure you heard the B-Side too.
This shit still cold right cheah. The intro is one of the best intros in hip-hop to this day. (“ON…TIME..GIVIN…YOU THE RHYTHM…AS I GET…RIGGEDY *SNARE* RAW!…” = perfect.) I hear the ‘I’ll burn your food like Florence/Run up in your crib like my name was SEARCH WARR-ANTS!!” line in my head and FALL OUT LAUGHING. The beat is CUH-RAAAAZY…it lopes and BANGS.
To be honest, I wouldn’t mind having this Busta back, but I know times change and you gotta stay current and evolve.
